SURF CITY ALLSTARS

The Surf City Allstars first met in the 80's after Gary Grffin left the Beach Boys to become the Musical Director for Jan&Dean. Chris Farmer, Philip Bardowell, and David Logeman all joined Gary in the Jan&Dean band. Matt Jardine was already touring with the Beach Boys. One by one, the other Surf City Allstars were hired by Mike Love (original lead singer) for the Beach Boys band. When you hear the Surf City Allstars in concert, you get the authentic "SURF" sound and harmonies that were taught to the Allstars by Brian Wilson and Mike Love of the Beach Boys, and Jan Berry of Jan & Dean. The Surf City Allstars perfected their vocals and performance of all the greatest surf music hits through years of touring with the legendary Beach Boys and Jan & Dean. The Surf City Allstars are the only “tribute” band on the planet where each and every member toured in the Beach Boys band.

The Show

The Surf City Allstars perform the Greatest Hits of the Beach Boys and Jan&Dean, just like they did for years with those legendary acts. The Allstars will entertain your group with such audience participation segments as their famous "Air Guitar" contest, where the band gives away a brand new, autographed Fender Stratocaster guitar; the "Wipe Out Drum Contest" where audience members get a chance to play the famous drum solo with the Allstars and win autographed drumsticks and a T-shirt; our "Dance Contest" where CD prizes are given away; and the Allstars can even do a "Hula-Hoop Contest" on request, where we give away more CDs and a DVD. It all adds up to one memorable Beach Party experience for your audience that no other band does. The Surf City Allstars can also add the finest classic rock dance tunes on request at each event so everyone can dance to their favorite songs and have fun.
